Michael Mann to the Defense of Climate Models

Scientific American recently concluded an interview with Dr. Michael Mann of the Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Mann, who is a climate modeler, is probably most famous for his "Hockey Stick", which shows the distinct rise in global temperature in recent history. See image below.......

In the interview, Mann responds to critics who say that climate scientists rely too much on computer models, which, according to Freeman Dyson are not useful for predicting climate change but more important for understanding climate.

By the way, Michael Mann was cleared of any wrongdoing in the so-called "climategate" story.
