Los Angeles: Cooler Weather Continues

While cooler temperatures will remain in the Los Angeles area through the middle of the week, a storm system dropping into the West will not bring needed rain to Southern California.

It will remain cooler Wednesday with highs in the low 70s, just below the normal high of 75 F for this time of year.

By Thursday, highs will be in the low 70s with a shower or thunderstorm around.

AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Erik Pindrock said the threat remains high for where the worst of the wildfires are in Southern California through the early part of this week.

However, the disturbance off the Pacific Ocean which will bring the cooler temperatures to the area midweek, could also bring an isolated shower to the mountains just outside of the city.

"Regardless of whether or not it rains, the humidity will come up some for the end of the week which is better news for fighting wildfires," he said.

Enjoyable weather should be in store for Memorial Day weekend with highs in the upper 70s on Saturday and temperatures breaking the 80 F mark on Sunday.
