By By Kristen Rodman, AccuWeather.com Staff Writer
    June 25, 2014, 2:57:43 PM EDT

Unsettled weather will persist across Detroit through midweek, but sunny skies, heat and humidity will return in time for the weekend.

With temperatures in the high 70s, showers will alternate with times of clouds and sun throughout the morning on Wednesday.

Any lingering showers should move out of the region by Wednesday afternoon, making way for times of clouds and sun.

Highs will remain in the mid-70s on Thursday, before returning to the 80s in time for the weekend.

Partly sunny skies will return to the city on Friday and Saturday afternoon but by Saturday afternoon will bring the city's next chance for afternoon showers or thunderstorms.

More storms will plague the region on Sunday.
