Late-Week Wet Weather in Store for Detroit

After a period of drier weather, some showers and thunderstorms will arise in the Detroit area late in the week.

Wednesday will see highs in the lower 60s with times of clouds but showers and thunderstorms will move in to the region Wednesday night.

While milder weather is in store for fans headed to Comerica Park for the four-game series between the Detroit Tigers and the Houston Astros, thunderstorms Wednesday may halt gameplay.

A significant warmup will occur on Thursday with temperatures moving into the 80s and periods of clouds and sun throughout the day.

Temperatures will decrease slightly on Friday as a thunderstorm rolls into the area but highs will remain in the 70s through Saturday with showers possible.

The wet weather could be a detriment for games Friday and Saturday between the Tigers and the Minnesota Twins.
