Dry days will be hard to come by around Pittsburgh through the new week with a shower or thunderstorm in the forecast on a daily basis.
Pittsburgh will lie in the path of storm systems tracking in from the Midwest, preventing AccuWeather.com meteorologists from promising an entirely rain-free day.
Clouds will otherwise limit sunshine into the new week, holding temperatures to the middle to upper 70s. Such a high is more common during the first part of September.
The combination of the clouds and showers will keep temperatures from rising out of the middle 70s on Monday.
The showers expected Monday through Monday night will be associated with the storm system set to track from the Ohio Valley to the mid-Atlantic.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists are concerned for a narrow band of heavy rain to accompany this storm into the mid-Atlantic and will be monitoring the potential for that band to reach Pittsburgh. Latest indications keep the heaviest rain south of the city.
By Thursday, a chance for sunshine will return, but the threat for a shower or thunderstorm will remain late in the week.
