After being postponed Saturday night due to thunderstorms, rain caused more delays at the Daytona International Speedway on Sunday before officials ultimately decided to end the race early.
Aric Almirola was declared the winner after 112 of the 160 scheduled laps.

Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms developed over Daytona Beach, Florida, on Saturday afternoon and continued to dump rain on the track right into Saturday night.
This rain forced NASCAR officials to postpone the race until 11 a.m. EDT Sunday.

However, the weather did not cooperating for NASCAR officials, racers and spectators on Sunday.
After a dry morning, showers developed across Daytona Beach during the midday hours and forced yet another delay just 10 laps into the race.

If a thunderstorm does move over the racetrack during the race, fans may be required to leave the grandstands until the storm has passed due to the danger of lightning.
