1. The warmth in the Plains to the East will be rather dramatic in regards to the deviation from normal. We should see highs some 10-20 degrees above normal until the chiller weather comes in next week.
2. Speaking of the chillier weather, Denver should get about 2-4 inches of snow Sunday. The Foothills will receive more snow.
3. The map below shows the area of thunderstorms for Sunday into Monday. The storms will develop as the southern branch energy comes flying through. I think the impacts will be mainly heavy rain, hail and damaging wind gusts. It does not look like a tornado situation.
A storm will move out of the Rockies this weekend and move east. It will produce a band of heavy rains.
The High Plains will remain active with severe storms today.
A cold front moving across the Northeast will produce severe storms. The High Plains will also have severe storms and maybe tornadoes.
The bulk of the severe storms will stay on the High Plains today and Tuesday.
Severe weather will hit the Upper Midwest and southern Canada. It could be a tornado day!
