Warmth Leads to Storms and Some Snow by Sunday

April 10, 2014; 9:43 AM ET

1. The warmth in the Plains to the East will be rather dramatic in regards to the deviation from normal. We should see highs some 10-20 degrees above normal until the chiller weather comes in next week.

2. Speaking of the chillier weather, Denver should get about 2-4 inches of snow Sunday. The Foothills will receive more snow.

3. The map below shows the area of thunderstorms for Sunday into Monday. The storms will develop as the southern branch energy comes flying through. I think the impacts will be mainly heavy rain, hail and damaging wind gusts. It does not look like a tornado situation.
