Two Days of Storms and Potential Flash Flooding

August 9, 2012; 10:12 AM ET

Commentary

The severe storms will be in the Ohio Valley today as shown. Another area of potential severe weather will be across central Pennsylvania ahead of a defined upper-level system coming up from southwestern Pennsylvania. In each area, wind damage and hail be the main threats.

I put my twitter feed below because it's easier to get quick updates out to everyone using Twitter.

Friday, the severe threat shifts into the Appalachians and the mid-Atlantic where wind damage, hail and a few tornadoes will occur once again.

Between today and Friday, pockets of heavy rains will cause urban flooding problems, especially across the southern Great Lakes today where heavy rains may develop north of the low track.
