1. The secondary off New England Thursday night could produce 1-3 inches of snow. A far cry of the snows they have had the past several weeks.
2. During the change in the NAO and PNA, what the ECMWF model is showing is possible. A storm digs southeast from western Canada and bombs upon hitting the coast. It's the type of storm I have been waiting for since the NAO has gone negative. Also, the fact that the ECMWF is consistently showing the storm is another reason why the excitement level should go up.
A busy weekend for the Midwest and Ohio Valley as severe storms will hit ahead of the cold front.
Severe weather will rip across the Northern Plains today. Parts of Canada may see tornadoes.
