The East Coast Can't Dodge the Tropical Bullet for Very Long

Commentary...

I think it's only a matter of time before we have to deal with a storm impacting the East Coast. While Danielle will impact Bermuda this weekend with tropical storm conditions, Earl may go wide left of Bermuda next week. The models continue to take Earl west of Bermuda, which would mean another impact on Bermuda, but I would not totally rule out impacts on extreme eastern New England and Atlantic Canada just yet. As the high breaks down next week, it will only take a little nudge by the trough to pull Earl west into the areas mentioned. As for Fiona, the EURO has the scariest look with the storm heading toward the Southeast coast in 10 days. The GFS tends to get confused as to what to do with Fiona. My gut tells me Fiona will be the one to watch for impacts on the East Coast.
