1. No major storms, only clippers, the next two weeks. NAO remains positive, so no East Coast storms. However, I can see how one of the clippers brings some extra snow to the Northeast next week.
2. The cold that is coming will stay around through the end of the month. This will be sustained cold and not as extreme as earlier this month. By Groundhog Day, people will be complaining about the cold across the eastern two-thirds of the country.
3. If you like snow, I think February is going to be stormy!
The moonson will bring some nasty weather to the Southwestern part of the country.
Watching the system in the Gulf of Mexico for development. Probably a small chance.
Heat builds into the East while the rain continues for the Pacific Northwest.
Erika will have many issues this weekend includng tracking over the islands with big mountains.
Erika will track into the Bahamas and may intensify early next week. Track could bring it close to the U.S.
