1. The heat will last for a few more days, then that's it for many areas. When the cold front comes through, expect a band of severe storms. Given the position of the low-level jet, Ontario and Michigan seem to be the prime areas of severe storms Friday.
2. Saturday, I think the severe storms will develop in the lee trough east of the Appalachians. That means the I-95 corridor cities will be hit by the severe weather late in the afternoon.
