1. We'll try again today with the severe weather. It certainly has not been a week of severe weather considering the number of reports has been very low. Now that's a good thing because we don't really need the damage from the severe storms. I do think in May the storms will get going because we seem to be running a month behind in the weather overall.
2. Today, a line of storms will develop from central Pennsylvania into the Carolinas and race east. The main impacts will be damaging wind gusts and large hail, but a few tornadoes are possible across Virginia into the eastern Carolinas.
Severe weather will highlight the weather pattern through early next week. An unusual chilly airmass coming into the Great Lakes.
