Storms in the Mid-Atlantic Today

April 19, 2013; 8:41 AM

1. We'll try again today with the severe weather. It certainly has not been a week of severe weather considering the number of reports has been very low. Now that's a good thing because we don't really need the damage from the severe storms. I do think in May the storms will get going because we seem to be running a month behind in the weather overall.

2. Today, a line of storms will develop from central Pennsylvania into the Carolinas and race east. The main impacts will be damaging wind gusts and large hail, but a few tornadoes are possible across Virginia into the eastern Carolinas.
