1. The snow map has been posted, and I really don't have much to add on the snowstorm that is on the way. The models have is good agreement on the storm and the snow area. I expect we will have the normal surprises with the storm as we do with most snowstorms.
2. A clipper will follow the storm on and bring a swath of 1-4 inches of snow across the Great Lakes into the Northeast. Nothing out of the ordinary for winter.
3. The next storm will bring warm weather to the East and widepread light snows to the Plains all the way to northern Texas. A swath of heavy snow will move across the northern Plains into the northern Great Lakes. After it warms up in the East and most of the snow melts away, a swath of snow may develop from western Tennessee to western New York as a wave of low pressure develops along the front.
My snow map for the storm..
