Severe Weather Wednesday and This Weekend

April 22, 2014; 10:21 AM ET

Comment

Severe weather will develop in the High Plains Wednesday afternoon and move east Wednesday night and Thursday. The storms could produce tornadoes, but most of the impacts will be damaging winds and large hail. If tornadoes do occur, most should remain in the open country of the High Plains.

Another round of severe weather will occur across Oklahoma and Texas this weekend. There is the potential for a major outbreak of severe weather including tornadoes. The issue with this weekend's event is the storms will be in a more populated area of the country.
