We have a break in the action for the next six days. Late next week, the trough will move back into the Plains, and that means severe weather will return. Before that time, the heat will develop in the southern Plains and we could see temperatures in the 90s to near 100 degrees F. The heat should develop early in the week and last through Wednesday for the storm comes into the Plains and shuts the heat off.
Based on the current GFS and ECMWF, we could have another multi-day severe weather outbreak for areas of the Plains into the Mississippi Valley.
A storm will move out of the Rockies this weekend and move east. It will produce a band of heavy rains.
The High Plains will remain active with severe storms today.
A cold front moving across the Northeast will produce severe storms. The High Plains will also have severe storms and maybe tornadoes.
The bulk of the severe storms will stay on the High Plains today and Tuesday.
Severe weather will hit the Upper Midwest and southern Canada. It could be a tornado day!
