1. No changes on the severe weather threat across the Upper Midwest this afternoon. Storms will produce damaging winds, hail and heavy rain. A tornado is possible across parts of Nebraska.
2. In the Pacific, a tropical system that has yet to develop may come north later this weekend. The GFS is very aggressive on the development and movement of the system. Tropical moisture associated with the system and the monsoonal flow into the Southwest will result serious flash flooding event. Las Vegas and Palm Springs could be in the thick of things with heavy rains and flooding late in the weekend.
