Severe Storms Around the Rim of the Heat

Severe Weather Today and Thursday

Storms will develop all around the heat from the Plains to the Great Lakes and Appalachians the next 48 hours. Most of the impacts of the storms will be hail and damaging wind gusts.

Severe weather will develop in the Plains today and Thursday. The storms will occur across western Nebraska and parts of Oklahoma and eastern Kansas today. In those areas as shown on the map, storms can produce damaging winds, large hail and even a tornado.

Storms will become more widespread Thursday hitting areas from Minnesota to Texas. The impact of the storms will be damaging winds and hail with a few tornadoes as well.
