We typically see at least one ice event early in the winter, but I think this is the third or fourth event we have seen this year for eastern Texas and Louisiana. The ice will continue into early afternoon before ending as just rain as temps rise.
2. I see the ECWMF has another big snowstorm next week. I think the GFS may have a better solution with the two branches of the jet staying separate and one wave of low pressure runs out across the South while another runs across the Great Lakes and Northeast. The bulk of the severe storms will stay on the High Plains today and Tuesday.
Severe weather will hit the Upper Midwest and southern Canada. It could be a tornado day!
Another big day for severe weather. Damaging winds and even a few tornadoes possible today.
Two major days of severe weather. First day in the Ohio Valley and the second day in West Virginia and Virginia.
Two potential nasty days of severe weather due to a highly unusual strong jet stream moving through,
