Severe Storms Hit the Gulf Coast. Snow Possible for VT, NH, ME

Jan 25, 2012; 10:29 AM ET

Quick Comments.

1. The severe storms will roll through eastern Texas into Louisiana today and eventually make it to Alabama by Thursday afternoon. Most of the reports we will see will be wind damage and hail. EHI values are much lower this time so I don't expect to see big tornadoes. In fact, we may see just a few weak tornado reports. Even SPC has low probabilities for tornadoes through Thursday.

2. Nothing in the way of any snow coming through Thursday. A few inches of snow may hit Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine Thursday night into Friday as the rain heads into the Northeast.
