1. The severe weather in Texas will be marginal today and tomorrow. The impacts will be wind damage and hail, but a lot of the storms will be in open country.
2. Storms in Florida late Thursday into early Friday could produce damaging winds and even a few tornadoes. There will be enough warmth and humidity to support supercells and potential tornadoes.
3. The AO is going way positive, NAO is going positive and PNA is staying slightly negative which all means the pattern is getting ready for the big shift to warmer by week two of April. By week three, temperatures could be in the 70s and 80s over a significant part of the eastern half of the country.
4. In April 9, a storm is coming out of the Rockies, and this could be our first widespread tornado outbreak in the Plains. GFS goes crazy on the storm, and the trough is predicted to go negative coming out of the Rockies. It all points to severe weather early next week.
The High Plains will remain active with severe storms today.
A cold front moving across the Northeast will produce severe storms. The High Plains will also have severe storms and maybe tornadoes.
The bulk of the severe storms will stay on the High Plains today and Tuesday.
