1. The Pacific Northwest will continue to get hit by storms through most of this week. This means periods of heavy rains and heavy mountain snows will hit Oregon, Washington into Idaho and Montana. Seattle and Portland can pick up 2-4 inches of rain out of this latest barrage of storms. The higher elevations can pick up feet amount of snow as well. Not a great way going into the holiday week.
2. Lake-effect snows are possible Friday into Saturday. A shot of very cold air will be coming across the lakes and that should lead to an outbreak of lake snows and snow showers.

As milder weather moves north, it will mean snow will hit the Great Lakes and Northeast today into tonight. California will get more heavy rain.
