1. The snows will continue into New England today through Friday morning. As a second short wave comes around the back of the trough, it will have a tendency to enhance snows, even into NYC. I can see a few inches of snow into NYC while parts of New England have over 6 inches of snow.
2. Next storm will hit the West today and into the Plains this weekend. I think Denver will end up getting a foot of snow out of this storm as the upper level low rolls out of the Rockies under Denver.
3. Heavy storms will develop in western Texas Friday and spread east this weekend. Moisture is the initial problem with the storms but I think by the time we get to Sunday and Monday, dew points will be coming up into the 60s and should support a fairly strong squall line.
Storms will fire over the High Plains today. Later this week, heavy rains may come north.
Severe storms will hit areas from Pennsylvania to New Jersey today. The storms will be packing high winds.
The heat is on from the Plains into the East.
The storms will continue around the edge of the heat wave.
Severe storms will be moving around the ridge of high pressure whish is producing the high heat.
Heat wave will build in the Plains as temperatures will hit the 100s. That heat is heading east this weekend.
