New England Snow to Denver Snow and Heavy Storms

    March 7, 2013; 9:40 AM ET

    1. The snows will continue into New England today through Friday morning. As a second short wave comes around the back of the trough, it will have a tendency to enhance snows, even into NYC. I can see a few inches of snow into NYC while parts of New England have over 6 inches of snow.

    2. The next storm will hit the West today and into the Plains this weekend. I think Denver will end up getting a foot of snow out of this storm as the upper-level low rolls out of the Rockies under Denver.

    3. Heavy storms will develop in western Texas Friday and spread east this weekend. Moisture is the initial problem with the storms, but I think by the time we get to Sunday and Monday, dew points will be coming up into the 60s and should support a fairly strong squall line.
