NAO Remains Low...Snow for the Rockies

1. The NAO is very low and is going down to -2 in a few days. This time of the year, it means more cool/dry weather across the eastern part of the country for the rest of the week.

2. Tropics remain quiet, but GFS is hinting that around Oct. 3, things may get interesting for Florida or the Southeast. Keep in mind, the pattern since last spring seems to be running about a month behind, so it makes sense that early October is when things get interesting.

3. Snow is coming to parts of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Looks like snowfall over 6 inches for many areas of western Wyoming. See the GFS snowfall totals map below.
