I posted the map below to show the snowfall that fell the last 24 hours. To me, this has been just an amazing storm to watch because of the unprecedented snowfall for May 2. We still have some snow left today; in fact, as the upper-level low moves across Arkansas, snow will fall across the Ozarks and even some snow may mix in all the way to western Tennessee and northern Mississippi.
The other issue is the heavy rain the next 24 hours. Some area will see over 2 inches of rain and that will only aggravate the flooding situation across the Midwest and Mississippi River.
Heavy thunderstorms to bring some locally damaging wind gusts. Tornadoes for Canada! It's the season for them!
A cluster of thunderstorms or perhaps an Derecho will produce a swath of damaging wind gusts across North Dakota into northern Minnesota.
The rains are underway across Texas so watch the flooding. Sniffing out a storm development along the East Coast.
Storms will develop over the Southern Plains and will bring damaging winds and flash flooding rains.
Storms for the I-95 corridor today could be nasty ones. Heavy rains heading to northern Texas this week.
Severe storms will occur ahead of the refreshing air mass coming into the East.
