I had to shift gears this morning because the models have led my down the wrong road the past couple of days. I should have stayed with my gut feeling on the development of the closed low in the South and that was not going to happen, but after several runs of showing it there, I bit on it and now it appears it's not going to form. So with that said, I shift the severe weather north as shown on the map below. Impacts will be mainly wind damage and hail, as we have seen across parts of Minnesota this morning.
Tropics wall remains around the U.S. as the next system will once again head into Mexico and cause more flooding problems.
Snow to start and spread east on Sunday into Monday. Severe weather spreads across the South.
Another storm with winter weather and spring weather mixed into one.
Storm will cut across the South and may bring severe weather.
Blizzard like conditions across the Northeast today. Heavy storms south of the low track.
Snow to streak from the Midwest to the Northeast with almost blizzard conditions within that snow. Heavy storms may produce wind damage.
Storm this week will bring snow and heavy thunderstorms. El Nino on the way!
