Major Severe Weather Outbreak Including Tornadoes

September 08, 2012; 6:48 AM

Commentary:

I put my Twitter feed and video feed below because I am going to try to keep things up to date. I can do quick videos that can be posted in my video feed below.

In the video I talk about some of the parameters of the outbreak. The jet stream will be 110 knots and the right rear quad will be coming over the area this afternoon. That's a strong jet which will add plenty of lift. There will be plenty of shear along the squall line with individual storms along the line to rotate and produce tornadoes. Should be a very active day over all.

Marginal severe weather the rest of the week, but the weekend could turn ugly in the Plains as the tornadoes return.
