Image shows the area of severe weather for today. I think that tomorrow may be the bigger of the two days as the upper-level low over Mexico comes over Texas and becomes more negative in the tilt. While I think heavy rains and flooding will be major problems, hail, damaging wind gusts and perhaps a few tornadoes will occur as well through Tuesday. More severe weather is possible later this week.
No major changes on the snow for this weekend. The push of cold air will be gradual coming east. Each wave of low pressure that runs up the cold will not only push the cold air along, will also produce some snow on the back end of the low. It will take until the end of next week for the cold air to reach the East Coast.
Snow will continue across the Upper Midwest today, but the storm will move away and the weather will turn milder.
The snowstorm will dump heavy snow today into Tuesday, but the warmth is on the way for later this week.
It's going to be a stormy period across the country, but the models seem to differ on the outcome.
The storm that is coming into the Plains will produce a wide range of weather including snow, ice and flooding rains.
The holiday time will be stormy in the Plains and Front Range of the Rockies. Travel will be impacted by the weather.
