1. The heavy rains are underway across northern Texas this morning. Some areas have picked up over 4 inches of rain and more is yet to come. The rain and thunderstorms will move into Arkansas and Louisiana tonight into Saturday with impacts of flash flooding and perhaps some damaging wind gusts.
2. A storm may develop along the East coast this weekend. There is a slight chance the storm develops into a tropical system, but most likely it will be just a coastal storm that produces heavy rains and gusty winds across eastern New England on Sunday.
3. Sunday into Monday, severe weather returns to the northern Plains. Storms may produce damaging winds, flooding rains and perhaps a few tornadoes.
