If you watch the video today, I explain why we did not see any tornadoes yesterday. It had to do with the undercutting cold front which typically do not produce severe weather.
Today, the focus of the severe weather will be across Arkansas this afternoon with storms may produce a couple of tornadoes, wind damage and large hail. Around that area, storms may produce wind damage and hail, even into Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
The tropical system should spin up today and track to the South Carolina coast by Saturday night.
The central Plains will have a significant outbreak of severe weather including large tornadoes. The tropical system will head toward the Southeast coast.
