Cold Comes and Stirs up a Storm Next Week

March 21, 2014; 9:37 AM ET

The map below shows the area where I am concerned for snow next week. It seems the consensus of the models that the storm starts in North Carolina and skims the coast with some snow. The Canadian is the only model that winds up the storm and dumps heavy snow on the I-95 corridor. The model is probably overdone. Eastern New England would be the area to watch for heavy snow and perhaps even blizzard conditions depending on if the storm winds up.

Cold will come in this weekend and sticks around until midweek of next week. A warming trend will occur Thursday and last into the weekend. I hope this is the last of the very cold weather.
