Can Dorian Come Back? Flossie Hits Hawaii! Severe Weather in Kansas

1. Dorian weakened over the weekend and is now just a tropical wave. The system will be moving into below-normal water temperatures as per the map below. While the system has convection this morning, I think it will end up not doing much other than enhancing thunderstorms across Florida late this week.

2. Flossie will cross the Big Island today with heavy rain and gusty winds. Some areas will have up to 10 inches of rain. Highest wind gusts will be around 55 mph. This is an unusual event for Hawaii.

3. Severe weather will develop in Kansas today. Storms will produce flash flooding rain, damaging wind gusts and maybe a tornado or two.
