1. Dorian weakened over the weekend and is now just a tropical wave. The system will be moving into below-normal water temperatures as per the map below. While the system has convection this morning, I think it will end up not doing much other than enhancing thunderstorms across Florida late this week.
2. Flossie will cross the Big Island today with heavy rain and gusty winds. Some areas will have up to 10 inches of rain. Highest wind gusts will be around 55 mph. This is an unusual event for Hawaii.
3. Severe weather will develop in Kansas today. Storms will produce flash flooding rain, damaging wind gusts and maybe a tornado or two.
A front will produce severe storms across the Northeast today. A heavy rain event may occur this weekend.
A storm will move out of the Rockies this weekend and move east. It will produce a band of heavy rains.
The High Plains will remain active with severe storms today.
A cold front moving across the Northeast will produce severe storms. The High Plains will also have severe storms and maybe tornadoes.
The bulk of the severe storms will stay on the High Plains today and Tuesday.
Severe weather will hit the Upper Midwest and southern Canada. It could be a tornado day!
