1. Very cold weather will come in across the Great Lakes and Northeast this weekend. Lake snow will be heavy in the traditional Northwest flow locations downwind from the lakes. I can see up to 2-3 feet of snow in some of the favored lake-effect locations.
2. Big story is the storm potential next week. The GFS and Euro are both in some agreement on the storm coming up the coast and a swath of snow from West Virginia to the Northeast. While still a little far away for details, it's something to watch and see what happens. NAO is not in the best of positions for a big storm right now which is one drawback.
ECMWF snowfall through next week.
Upper-level low will brign scattered areas of snow through Wednesday. By the weekend, it's extremely cold.
Snow will hit many areas the next two days but extremely cold weather will follow the snow.
The pattern will become more wintry across the eastern part of the county, and a lot of people will see snow!
A storm will move up the coast clipping the coastal areas with wet snow. Eastern New England will have the msot snow from the storm.
The eastern part of the country is going to have a change to much colder weather next week. Snow is coming along with teh cold.
The storm moving through the Plains will continue to produce blizzard condtions. Now the severe weather occurs and tornadoes could be damaging.
