1. The next storm Saturday will not be a BIg Daddy but just your normal 2-6 inches of snow.
2. It would appear that snow will start in Texas on Friday and head northeast through the Tennessee Valley. I think the accumulating snow will not start until the storm reaches Tennessee.
3. I don't believe for a minute the winter is over. The La Nina just reached its peak so it's going to take about 60 days to get us out of the hole. While we will see warming starting in the Southeast, which is normal this time of the year, it does not mean that snow cannot occur. The struggle will be in the mid-Atlantic where the warmth from the Southeast may come north and caused more wintry mix storms.
4. I do think that when the pattern does break for good it's going to take a huge storm, something that may rival the Xmas Blizzard, but over the larger area.
More showers and thunderstorms this weekend which can produce heavy rains again.
A system that started in the Gulf of Mexico is coming northeast and will bring a swath of heavy rains.
A tropical low coming Northeast will produce a corridor of heavy rains.
Storms will fire over the High Plains today. Later this week, heavy rains may come north.
Severe storms will hit areas from Pennsylvania to New Jersey today. The storms will be packing high winds.
The heat is on from the Plains into the East.
