More News about the Sun

Aug 3, 2011; 8:52 PM ET

According to AccuWeather Astronomy Fanpage guru Daniel Vogler, Friday, Aug. 5 should be an interesting day.

"(On) August 5th (there will be a) big solar bombardment. Two separate CME (coronal mass ejections) bursts will meet up together at us. The latest one came from a M6 flare! Wow this is exciting! Prepare from some interesting weather events on Friday the 5th. The first blast which happened August 2nd is slower than those latest one. Will hit us around the same time. Expect moderate geomagnetic storms August 5-6TH."

Anyway, please keep an eye on the Sun, and what happens this Friday and Saturday should be interesting to say the least.
