Weather Forecast Model Projections into the Middle of October

September 14, 2012; 11:15 AM ET

Another update to the ECMWF Long-Range forecast model. There are two per week. It looks like the cool stuff takes another vacation during the first two weeks of October.

Also, the model projects below-normal tropical activity in the Atlantic Basin from late September into middle October.

A significant cool shot will come into the eastern Prairies, Upper Midwest and the western half of Ontario next week, while a wet pattern sets in across Quebec and perhaps the Maritimes.
