My Spring Outlook

Mar 18, 2010; 10:52 AM ET

Here is my spring forecast for Canada.

I think a large chunk of the country should be warmer than normal this spring. Part of that is due to the drier-than-normal ground, which will result in lower evaporation rates (evaporation is a cooling process), which will allow more efficient heating from the strengthening sun.
