Forecast Model Update into Mid-September

August 16, 2013; 12:36 PM ET

Here is my latest interpretation of the ECMWF model long-range weekly forecast that now extends into mid-September.

The model has been jumping around a little more than usual which likely indicates that the model is having a difficult time sorting out the pattern for the next few weeks. Just something to keep in mind.

This is just one of the tools we use for long-range forecasting. I will be posting our Canada fall forecast over the weekend and will keep it up into early next week.

I will be able to answer any questions about the fall forecast starting Monday. You can reach me through the comment section below, email me, or reach me on twitter @BrettAWX.
