    Tuesday morning

As a cold front moves across the Midwest, it is helping to sponsor strong thunderstorms. As these thunderstorms redevelop eastward into the area from northern New England and New York state south into Pennsylvania and through parts of the Ohio Valley, there will episodes of damaging wind and briefly heavy rain. One area of concern is Lake Erie, where unprepared boaters could suddenly be blasted by 60-mph winds. The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has outlined a large area where the threat of strong wind exists. The map showing this area is below today's forecast video.

Once the cold front moves offshore, there will be a reduction in heat and humidity for the I95 corridor from DC to Boston for Thursday and Friday.
