Brush fire burning in Weeki Wachee

A large brush fire is burning on both sides of U.S. Hwy. 19 in Weeki Wachee.

The area is heavily wooded and there are homes in the area. At least one has been evacuated.

U.S. Hwy. 19 is closed in both directions in the area.

The fire is burning about 40 acres. No injuries have been reported.
