Record Breaking Heat Possible Today

Record Breaking Heat Possible Today

Sunny skies, and very warm temperatures will continue across the north state today. Valley areas are much cooler this morning, with most areas falling into the mid 40's. Mountain areas dipped into the mid 20's to mid 30's overnight. High temperatures could set new records again this afternoon. Valley areas are projected to climb back into the low to mid 70's, and mountain areas will be in the mid 50's to mid 60's. Some thin clouds will pass through the region today, but will not have much, if any, impact on the conditions. Winds will be out of the North to 10mph, and humidity values will bottom out between 30 to 40 percent.

Temperatures will stay above average through your entire extended forecast, but will modestly drop towards the end of the week. Instead of low to mid 70's, the valley will have mid to high 60's on Friday and Saturday. There will be a slight chance for showers in the Northern Mountains Wednesday night, and then a better chance for scattered showers returning Friday night, and lingering through Saturday morning. Impacts from the wet system on Friday/Saturday look to be minimal. Partly cloudy skies, and low to mid 70's will then return for Sunday into Monday. I hope everyone is enjoying the spring-like weather across the region, and has a great Tuesday!
