MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ARIZONA...ROUGHLY ALONG AND
SOUTH OF A LINE FROM THE GRAND CANYON SOUTH RIM TO WINSLOW TO
ST. JOHNS.

* FROM 11 AM MST THIS MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON

* DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL AFFECT PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN ARIZONA TODAY AND THURSDAY. WIDESPREAD AND PROLONGED
PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL WITH EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED. THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR SOME STORMS
TO PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES GREATER THAN 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR.

* THE LATEST PRECIPITATION TOTALS FOR TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY ARE
FORECAST TO RANGE FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES IN NORTHERN GILA COUNTY AND
THE EASTERN MOGOLLON RIM...TO 2 TO 3 INCHES IN THE WHITE
MOUNTAINS REGION...WITH GENERALLY LOWER AMOUNTS NORTH AND WEST
OF THESE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT DEVELOPING CONDITIONS MAY LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING WITHIN THE WATCH AREA.

PEOPLE...ESPECIALLY THOSE LOCATED ALONG AREA CREEKS...RIVERS OR
OTHER FLASH FLOOD PRONE AREAS...SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS.

BE PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS
