WATCH: Florida woman finds gator under her car

An Oldsmar woman will probably be checking under her car every time she goes to drive it for the foreseeable future after an alligator was found hiding under it.

The gator was spotted underneath Paige Manning's car on Thursday morning. She found out when she had a knock at her door and it was an officer. "Don't come out here, there's a 7-foot gator under your car!" he told her when she answered.

A trapper arrived about four hours later to capture the gator as they watched it from inside their home, Manning said.

Video shows the trapper roping the gator under the car and then the gator rolling around on the front lawn in protest. The gator was taken to a sanctuary, Manning said.

Manning has only lived in the neighborhood a few months, and has'nt lived in Florida for very long. She said she didn't have to worry about alligators in Texas, but that's a much different story now, even if she doesn't live near the water. "We don't have any ponds or lakes near us, it's kind of random," she said.
