WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR NORTHEASTERN MOUNTAINS...

* AFFECTED AREA: FIRE WEATHER ZONE 686 EAST WASHINGTON NORTHEAST
(ZONE 686).

* TIMING: WINDS WILL COME WITH A DRY COLD FRONT PASSAGE WHICH IS
MOVING THROUGH NOW. THESE WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST
SUNDAY MORNING. VERY DRY AIR BEHIND THE FRONT WILL BRING THE
POTENTIAL TO KEEP HUMIDITIES NEAR CRITICAL THRESHOLDS UNTIL
SUNDAY MORNING. BETTER RECOVERIES WILL BE POSSIBLE IN PEND
OREILLE COUNTY.

* WINDS: RIDGETOP WINDS: NORTH 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35
MPH...BECOMING NORTHEAST AFTER 0100 PDT. VALLEY WINDS: 8 TO 14
MPH WITH SPORADIC GUSTS TO 30 MPH POSSIBLE.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITIES: 11 TO 18 PERCENT IN THE VALLEYS EARLY IN
THE EVENING...RECOVERING 25-40 PERCENT SUNDAY MORNING. IN THE
MOUNTAINS...18 TO 28 PERCENT IN THE EVENING RECOVERING 30 TO 40
PERCENT EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS: RAPID FIRE SPREAD IS POSSIBLE WITH EXISTING FIRES OR
NEW FIRE STARTS IN THE AREA.
