* EVENT...A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL DEVELOP AS A DRY COLD
FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE FOUR STATE AREA. EXPECT NORTHWEST WINDS
OF 15 TO 20 MPH WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS TO AROUND 25 OR 30 MPH.

* TIMING...THE I-30 CORRIDOR WILL EXPERIENCE WINDY CONDITIONS BY
NOON WITH AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE I-20 CORRIDOR BY MID-
AFTERNOON.

* IMPACT...STRONG WINDS WILL PRODUCE A ROUGH CHOP ON OPEN WATERS
AND AREA LAKES WHICH COULD LEAD TO HAZARDOUS BOATING
CONDITIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP
ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO TAKING ON
WATER...SWAMPING OR PERHAPS EVEN CAPSIZING.
