2 Minnesota teens damage over 60 mailboxes with baseball bat

Two teenagers are awaiting formal charges after damaging over 60 mailboxes with a baseball bat early Tuesday near Little Falls, Minn.

According to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, police received a report of "someone smashing mailboxes" along Highway 27 east of Little Falls around 2:50 a.m. Deputies responded to the area and found several mailboxes that had been damaged.

The Little Falls Police Department assisted and located a vehicle on the side of the road with two 17-year-old males. Police said both occupants admitted to damaging the mailboxes with a baseball bat.

In total, officials said there were over 60 mailboxes damaged throughout the townships of Little Falls, Agram, Pierz and Buckman.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen wants to remind residents to continue reporting suspicious activity to their office at (320) 632-9233.
