Temperatures are on the upswing across Central Florida. Many areas could reach 90 degrees or warmer today. Coastal counties will be a few degrees cooler, in the upper 80's. A slight risk of showers and thunderstorms will linger for the afternoon. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy and low temperatures will be in the upper 60's/low 70's.

Heavy showers and gusty thunderstorms will target the Northeast late Thursday with more travel delays.
