Special Weather Statement in effect until Thursday, 4:00 AM CDT. Source: U.S. National Weather Service

...SHIFTING TO A WETTER PATTERN...

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENTOVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS...BEGINNING LATER TONIGHT AND CONTINUINGTHROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY NIGHT. THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BECOME VERYWARM AND HUMID SOUTH OF THIS FRONT. SO THERE WILL BE PLENTY OFMOISTURE FOR ANY OF THESE STORMS TO WORK WITH.

THE BEST CHANCE OF STORMS WILL BE LATER TONIGHT INTO THURSDAYNIGHT. THERE WILL BE A LOWER CONFIDENCE IN STORMS FRIDAY INTO THEWEEKEND AS AN UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS NORTH AND MAYSUPPRESS STORM DEVELOPMENT IN SPITE OF THE LINGERING FRONTALBOUNDARY.

SO WHILE THERE IS CONCERN FOR SOME URBAN AND SMALL STREAMFLOODING IN THIS REGIME...THERE IS SOME SMALL POTENTIAL FOR FLASHFLOODING AS WELL ESPECIALLY WHERE ANY STORMS BECOME PERSISTENT ORTRAVERSE REPEATEDLY ACROSS THE SAME AREAS.

STAY TUNED FOR LATER FORECASTS ON THIS EVOLVING POTENTIAL FOR SOMEHEAVIER RAINFALL.
