10-year-old kidnapped after Dallas home invasion robbery

Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 10-year-old boy who was kidnapped at gunpoint during a home invasion robbery in Dallas on Monday.

Nicholas Fierros, Jr. was taken from a home on the 800 block of Buick Avenue after police say three masked black males in all black clothing forced their way into the home and demanded money at gunpoint around 12:35 p.m.

Family members say Nicholas was staying at his aunt's home during the summer.

Police say the gunmen held down the aunt inside the home. Family members say they pistol whipped her and asked her for money. They threatened to take Nicholas if she didn't give them money.

Police say two other kids were able to hide inside the home. One of them was able to call 911.

The gunmen ran away from the scene in an unknown direction and took Nicholas at gunpoint.

The boy was last seen wearing an orange shirt with white or khaki shorts and had no shoes on.

If you see the child, please contact 9-1-1 or the Dallas Police Department at (214) 671-4268.
